I always love shooting wedding photography at Cripps Stone Barn; a picture-perfect, quintessential Cotswolds location for couples in search of a rustic-chic countryside wedding. Ideal for those who want a wow-factor wedding without too much glitz and glamour, the barn itself is the perfect balance and lends itself to some incredible wedding photography opportunities.
Embodying the rustic vibe from the moment you drive down the barn’s long, farm track path, its corrugated iron exteriors offer the perfect backdrop for unique newlywed portraits; a stolen moment just after the I-Dos have been said. Inside, Stone Barn comes to life and packs a real punch when it comes to its classic countryside-wedding credentials thanks to its huge traditional barn ceilings, atmospheric candelabra lighting, roaring fireplace, rustic flagstone flooring and sweeping countryside views.
On a sunny day in May, I was lucky enough to photograph Katie and Matt’s big day at Cripps Stone Barn. Katie and Matt were clear on what they wanted from their wedding photography: elegant, unobtrusive shots that not only captured the beauty of the venue, but the spirit and joy of the day itself.
With the weather blessing us with light, bright photography opportunities, I was able to create a wedding photography album for Matt and Katie that ticked all the boxes. Discreet shots of the couple and guests enjoying the magic of the day, peppered with elegant portraits of Katie and Matt as they explored the stunning grounds around the venue – just the two of them. A classic, elegant Cotswolds country wedding at its finest; a real honour to shoot.
