Helen and Adam asked me to be their wedding photographer at Dumbleton Hall and I was extremely excited. It had been a while since I had been to Dumbleton and I love the building and surroundings.
It couldn’t have been a better day. The sun was high and the clouds stayed away, for most of the day at least. They married in Dumbleton Church and then everyone walked up Dumbleton Hall’s driveway to have their first drinks and canapes. Everything from then was held at the hall and the couple also had fireworks nearer the end of their big day, something Dumbleton Hall have a perfect set-up and location for.
Dumbleton Hall is just North of Cheltenham and in the North Cotswolds, so Helen and Adam thought it was perfect for their day as they live in Cheltenham. The grounds are large and offer huge open spaces (the sheep are a nice addition), gravel tracks, hidden gardens, a lake and wild paths. The bride got ready in a local farm cottage with the bridesmaids and family members.
Dumbleton Church is right at the end of Dumbleton Hall’s driveway so both together are a great combination – especially if it’s a nice day and people can walk between the two.
The couple put indoor confetti cannons on each table to use during the day. Which looked amazing when they walked into the Dumbleton Hall Oak Panelled Ballroom for their Speeches and Wedding Breakfast.
In some ways, little Isla stole the show, or at least the hearts of the whole party!
All in all, I love being a wedding photographer at Dumbleton Hall. The location is great and the staff really know what they’re doing to make sure the day goes well. I know Helen and Adam had the best time as I’m sure everyone else do too.
