What a weekend this was. Set against the breathtaking backdrop of Italy’s western coast, every moment felt like a scene from a dream. On Friday evening, the festivities kicked off in the heart of a charming, traditional village square, where Emma and Hugo’s friends gathered for an evening of canapés, drinks, and laughter. The air was warm with the buzz of excitement, as people mingled under the twinkling lights, soaking in the festive atmosphere.
Saturday brought the main event: a gorgeous, intimate church wedding. The historic chapel, with its soaring arches and soft, golden light, was the perfect setting for Emma and Hugo to exchange vows. The ceremony was nothing short of magical, with the scent of fresh flowers filling the air as the couple said “I do.”
The journey back from the church, however, is one I’ll never forget. As we drove along winding, dusty roads, the landscape unfolded in a way that instantly reminded me of a scene from Gladiator. The craggy hills, the golden hues of the countryside, and the feeling of timelessness in the air made it seem as if we were stepping into another era. The roads were rugged, but the view, dotted with ancient stone walls and rustic farms, was simply breathtaking.
Afterward, we made our way to the family villa, perched high on a hill with sweeping views. It was here that the lavish reception took place—delicious food, music, and laughter filling the night air under the stars.
By Sunday, the party continued with decks and a pool party, which was the perfect way to cap off the weekend. Surrounded by lush gardens, the sun-drenched afternoon was filled with cocktails, dancing, and a few cannonballs into the sparkling water.
It was one of those weekends that you wish could last forever, a beautiful blend of tradition, luxury, and relaxation in one of the most stunning corners of the world.
